Center for Effective Dispute Resolution
- CEDR, the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, is an independent non-profit organisation supported by multinational business and leading professional bodies and public-sector organisations. It was launched in 1990 with the support of The Confederation of British Industry. CEDR aims to encourage and develop mediation and other cost-effective dispute resolution and prevention techniques in commercial and public-sector disputes and civil litigation. Working in partnership with business, governments and the judiciary, both in the UK and internationally, to develop effective dispute resolution practice.
