Hello Legal Websurfer,
FindLaw offers two ways for a web site to incorporate their own back link graphics into the US Supreme Court and 9th Circuit Court opinions and search pages.
Linking to Individual Cases with the Backlink Graphic
First, you can link to an individual case with a back-link graphic. Thus if you have a paper or an article on-line and would like to link to the cases cited, the cases you linked to could contain your graphic with a link back to the original paper.

Setting up a Search Form with the Backlink Graphic
Second, you can add a search form for the Supreme Court and 9th Circuit Court Opinions on your own web pages such that any search or case found from a search that originates at your web page contains a graphic and back-link to your site. That way visitors who search the cases from your web site can quickly and easily get back to your web site without hitting the back button in the browser. The forms allow for browsing by year, volume number and searching by citation ,case party name and full text.
