Crimes against justice generally don’t have individual victims. In these criminal offenses, the conduct is often directed at the legal system or those serving it.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n

Most people view the criminal justice system as a protector of crime victims’ rights. Clearly, the most serious crimes, such as murder, rape, robbery, and burglary, have individual victims. Yet, there are many crimes where there is no individual victim. The "victim" in such crimes is society as a whole.<\/p>\r\n
