According to the National Cancer Institute<\/a>, cigar smokers experience higher levels of cancer-causing agents as compared to cigarette smokers. Higher concentrations of cancer-causing agents exist during cigar fermentation. Because cigar paper is less porous, smokers ingest a higher concentration of toxic substances.<\/p>\n
