Or, you may choose to ignore the mild annoyance if the encroachment is not likely to cause other problems.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Major Encroachments<\/h3>\n<p>More severe encroachments are far likelier to result in legal action.&nbsp;<span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">According to legal descriptions of major encroachments, the encroaching structure must result in quantifiable injury or damage to your piece of land.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Examples of major encroachments include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.findlaw.com\/realestate\/neighbors\/neighbor-fence-disputes.html\">Fencing<\/a>&nbsp;that wanders beyond the property line<\/li>\n<li>Driveways<\/li>\n<li>Utility installations&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Balconies, patios, and add-on structures<\/li>\n<li>Sheds and children&#8217;s playsets<\/li>\n<li>Large landscaping features, such as fountains and artificial ponds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Legally speaking, property encroachment issues arise because of how they interfere with ownership rights.
