The Municipality of Anchorage is a bustling city in the Southcentral part of the state with a formidable backdrop of glaciers and mountains. Boasting a population of over 100,000 residents, it\u2019s the most populous city in Alaska, constituting more than 40 percent of the state’s total population.<\/p>\n

If you are an Alaskan with a court case, you know there are several courthouses servicing the metropolitan area. If you have a criminal, civil, family law or probate matter, it\u2019s likely in one of the district, superior, or magistrate courts.

    District Court Divisions:<\/b> Criminal (felony preliminary hearings and all misdemeanors), Civil Claims up to $100,000, Small Claims up to $10,000, Domestic Violence and Protective Orders, and Emergency Orders Relating to Children.<\/p>\n

    Note: This location handles all federal cases. Also, if you are here around lunchtime check out Cafe 817 (Muffin Man)<\/a> housed in a 1940\u2019s old tile shop. Get the roast beef sandwich.
