    The Law Foundation has five advocacy programs that each serve low-income clients in the Bay Area in different legal areas. The Health Legal Services<\/a> (HLS) program offers services to people with health problems, including HIV\/AIDS. The Fair Housing Law Project<\/a> represents victims of housing discrimination and predatory lending. The Public Interest Law Firm<\/a> has a broad range of practice areas but focuses on senior, youth, and disabled clients. The Foundation’s child advocacy program is Legal Advocates for Children and Youth<\/a> (LACY).     The Legal Aid Society (LAS) is a non-profit law firm founded in 1960 to serve the legal needs of low-income residents of Santa Clara County. LAS has four practice areas: family law, immigration and naturalization, fair housing and landlord\/tenant right.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n \n <\/li>\n

    SALA provides legal services to senior adults in the following areas: public benefits, long term care, elder abuse, housing, consumer issues, incapacity planning, probate and wills.     Project Sentinel is a housing counseling agency committed to resolving housing issues for low-income individuals and people enrolled in subsidized housing programs. It provides counseling and legal services in several issue areas, including landlord\/tenant issues, mortgage issues, fair housing issues, and home ownership issues.     Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence provides social, community and legal services for victims of domestic violence and their families. The legal advocacy program offers help with protection orders against abusers and visa petitions for immigrant victims of domestic violence when eligible.
