The previous classifications are shown in parentheses.<\/p>\r\n<p>The possession charges for heroin vary depending on the amount of drug involved. For instance, simple possession of heroin for any amount is a <a href=\"https:\/\/codes.findlaw.com\/in\/title-35-criminal-law-and-procedure\/in-code-sect-35-48-4-6\/#:~:text=%28a%29%20A%20person%20who%2C%20without%20a%20valid%20prescription,except%20as%20provided%20in%20subsections%20%28b%29%20through%20%28d%29.\" title=\"Level 6 felony\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Level 6 felony<\/a> (Class D).
