If the burning resulted in serious bodily injury, an extra 5 to 50 years of hard labor.<\/li>\r\n<li><b>Intentional serious bodily injury.<\/b>&nbsp;Addition of up to 8 years of hard labor.<\/li>\r\n<li><b>Dangerous weapon.<\/b>&nbsp;Addition of up to 10 years of hard labor.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h2>Protective Orders<\/h2>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.findlaw.com\/state\/louisiana-law\/louisiana-protective-orders-laws.html\" title=\"Louisiana&#039;s protective order system\">Louisiana&#8217;s protective order system<\/a>&nbsp;provides victims of domestic violence immediate legal protection. It can stay valid for up to 21 days, and victims can obtain it through emergency procedures, even on weekends and holidays.<\/p>\r\n<h3>Protective Orders After Hearing<\/h3>\r\n<p>The court can issue&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.legis.la.gov\/legis\/Law.aspx?d=100559\" title=\"protective orders\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">protective orders<\/a>&nbsp;after both parties can present evidence in a full court hearing.
