No. Corporal punishment is prohibited in the State of Nevada. State law does not allow any corporal punishment to be administered to any pupil.<\/p>\r\n<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>

Are There Circumstances When Force Is Allowable?<\/b><\/p>\r\n<\/th>\r\n

Corporal punishment does not include the use of reasonable and necessary force. This is allowed in certain circumstances. The term does not include circumstances to quell a disturbance that threatens physical injury to any person or the destruction of property. This ban on corporal punishment does not include circumstances to get possession of a weapon or other dangerous object within a pupil’s control. It does not include force for the purpose of self-defense or for the defense of another person.
