While both parents are responsible for the needs of the child, the non-custodial parent (NCP) is expected to contribute set payments. These are to help pay for necessities like food, clothing, and health insurance. The court uses certain guidelines to determine what amount is in the best interests of the child<\/a> and fair to both parents.<\/blockquote>\r\n
