Do I Need to Report a Car Accident in South Carolina?<\/b><\/h2>\r\n

If you get into a car accident, the law requires that you report it<\/a>. There are specific situations where you don’t have to report the collision. But, for the most part, you need to err on the side of caution.<\/p>\r\n

According to the South Carolina Code of Laws, Section 56-9-350<\/a>, operators or owners of vehicles involved in an accident must submit a written report immediately. This report must include verification of the at-fault driver’s liability insurance coverage<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

You must file this report if any of the following exist:<\/p>\r\n
