In order to be guilty of this crime, the perpetrator must have have &quot;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.findlaw.com\/criminal\/criminal-law-basics\/mens-rea-a-defendant-s-mental-state.html\">knowingly<\/a> &quot; committed these acts.<\/p>\r\n<h2>Possible Defenses to Computer Crimes Charges<\/h2>\r\n<p>There are several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.findlaw.com\/criminal\/criminal-legal-help\/criminal-defense-strategies.html\">possible defenses<\/a> to a computer crimes charges in South Dakota.
