Already charged with involuntary manslaughter in the King of Pop's death, Dr. Conrad Murray also could be barred from practicing medicine as CA Attorney General Jerry Brown is urging the court to revoke his medical license.
According to the, Los Angeles Times, Brown filed his petition with the Los Angeles County Superior Court on behalf of the California Medical Board to revoke Murray's license.
The petition asked that the 57-year-old cardiologist be barred from practicing in California. Brown said the doctor showed a serious lack of judgment.
Joe Jackson's lawyer, Brian Oxman, said he plans to file a wrongful death lawsuit against Murray for the death of his son Michael Jackson, TMZ reports.
As previously discussed Murray has admitted to giving the singer a number of different sedatives on the day he died. Murray claimed they were ineffective, so he finally gave Michael a dose of propofol so he could sleep. Propofol is supposed to be administered by an anesthesia professional in a medical setting.
In Brown's filing Brown says Murray was reckless.
The coroner has ruled Michael Jackson's death at age 50 was a homicide, caused by a cocktail of painkillers and painkillers and sedatives.
