Halle Berry's Ex Gabriel Aubry Accused of Child Endangerment

By Cynthia Hsu, Esq. on January 26, 2012 | Last updated on March 21, 2019

Oscar winner Halle Berry's ex may soon be under criminal investigation. The couple's nanny Alliance Kambem has reportedly filed a police report accusing Gabriel Aubry of child endangerment and misdemeanor battery.

Last week Kambem went to pick up Berry and Aubry's three-year-old daughter Nahla at Aubry's Los Angeles apartment.

When she arrived, she questioned Aubry about how there wasn't much communication regarding Nahla's care. That's when Aubry reportedly became angry.

He allegedly screamed at Kambem and pushed her while she held Nahla in her arms. Kambem claims that she would have fallen, taking the three-year-old with her, if she hadn't hit a wall behind her.

Kambem claims this isn't the first time Aubry has turned violent and aggressive. She believes Aubry despises having a nanny in the first place. The nanny's role is described in the couple's custody order.

It appears that Kambem's fear spurred her to act. She requested a restraining order against Aubry in court earlier this week. A judge denied her request, citing that these issues should be resolved in family court, reports CNN.

Berry herself appeared in court on Tuesday. She may be seeking a modification of the child custody order. If the allegations against Aubry are true, it's likely she could prevail. A court will likely reduce Aubry's custody rights if the criminal investigation shows he did endanger Nahla.

Gabriel Aubry's child endangerment investigation may soon cost him his daughter. Sources told TMZ that police are looking into Alliance Kambem's claims -- and so might child protective services. A representative for Aubry has denied the allegations.
