His Prerogative: Bobby Brown Busted for DUI, Again

Bobby Brown was arrested for a DUI early this morning when a police cruiser reportedly spotted his car weaving around lanes in the Los Angeles area.
The singer and former Mr. Whitney Houston allegedly smelled of alcohol and failed a field sobriety test, reports E! Online.
Brown was taken into police custody and booked at a nearby police station. He was placed behind bars and $25,000 bail was set.
Given that Brown was already on probation for driving under the influence earlier this year, the entertainer may want to get used to that feeling of being behind bars.
Brown recently completed a stint in rehab related to his DUI arrest in March of this year, reports E! Online. In that case, Brown pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge and he was placed on three years' summary probation and ordered to complete a three-month alcohol education program which he just completed.
Generally, with probation, someone is able to avoid prison time in exchange for abiding by certain terms. For example, a judge may set the terms of probation to include being home by 11:00 p.m., not drinking any alcohol, remaining in the state, and staying away from illegal drugs. If the individual violates the terms of probation, that person could be ordered to serve the prison time associated with the original conviction.
Since Brown was earlier busted for a DUI, it's safe to assume that not driving drunk was a condition of his probation. So if this latest DUI stands, Brown could face the penalties for his DUI conviction in March as well as additional penalties for this most recent violation.
