New Bankruptcy Law Resources Available on FindLaw

As previously reported, the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 (PDF), a major reform of the bankruptcy system, was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Bush in April 2005. Additional changes instituted by this new law took effect on October 17, 2005.  FindLaw has recently updated its Bankruptcy & Debt Center to reflect the changes in the law.  You can learn about Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and much more.
