Report Finds Decline in Average Family Income

The Federal Reserve Board has released its Survey of Consumer Finances for 2004, detailing nationwide changes in family income and net worth from 2001 to 2004. The report finds that the average family income in 2004 ($70,700) declined by 2.3 percent, compared to figures from 2001.
