Andrew Giuliani's Golf Lawsuit Against Duke a Duffer: Judge
Andrew Giuliani, the son of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, has a duffer of a golf lawsuit against Duke University.
That's because a federal judge whacked Giuliani's breach of contract lawsuit against Duke and the Blue Devils' golf coach out of court today.

Judge Osteen rejected Giuliani's claims that he had an orally enforceable contract with Duke and its then golf coach Rod Myers, one that he said enticed him:
in exchange for roughly $200,000.00 in tuition and fees, as well as foregoing numerous opportunities at other colleges and universities, Duke "promised to provide [Mr. Giuliani with various educational services, lodging, and a right of access to the Athletic Department's Varsity program and facilities."
After Coach Myers died, the Blue Devils new golf coach Orrin Daniel Vincent, III cut the team's roster in half, and told Giuliani that he would have to 're-qualify' for the team." He gave Giuliani a seemingly easy way back on the team, however: if he would agree in writing to adhere to certain team " 'parameters,' he would not have to re-qualify."
Giuliani refused to accept that offer, leading to the lawsuit.
Most New Yorkers, however, vividly recall Andrew Giuliani not for his golfing abilities, but for the antics of a 7-year-old Andrew at his father Rudolph Giuliani's 1994 swearing in ceremony as New York City Mayor:
