Client Knocks Out Lawyer and Bites Butt in Court, After 47-year Sentence

By George Khoury, Esq. on February 21, 2019 | Last updated on March 21, 2019

In an Ohio courtroom this week, one lawyer had a worse day than any other lawyer in the country: Attorney Aaron Brockler, while standing next to his client at sentencing in the courtroom, was punched in the face by his client after the 47-year sentence was handed down.

Brockler states that he recalls waking up on the ground, and explained that prosecutors were pulling him away because his client was on the ground biting his butt.

Additional Assault

Unfortunately for the 42-year-old client, he is now facing additional assault charges, which could add even more time to his already lengthy sentence. On top of that, he punched his attorney right as he was trying to tell him that he could look into getting the sentence reduced.

For Brockler, he had to make a trip to the hospital as it was reported he suffered a concussion as a result of the attack. However, he has been getting some fun media attention out of it all as the video of him being attacked in court by his own client gets around.

Courtroom Commotion

Warning: the below body-cam video is silent until about 40 seconds in.

When you watch the video, you can see that everything seems to be going normally, until the defendant turns and is able to lift his hand up to punch his attorney, then grab on to him and push him over.
