As home to over 100,000 people, Gainesville is defined by the University of Florida, one of the top public schools in the country. But in between hosting major SEC football games, Gatorville has spawned numerous legendary musical acts including Tom Petty and the Eagles. Locals know you can’t beat a Saturday tailgating outside the Swamp, although a Theatre Strike Force improv show may suit others’ fancy. Fun and games aside, legal problems still find their way into our town. Residents facing legal issues or a trip to court for any reason can find helpful resources in this section, including a courthouse directory, legal aid resources, and articles on a variety of legal topics.
