A short ride away from the glitz and glamour of New York City lies Poughkeepsie, a former Dutch colonial city with strong ties to the Revolutionary War. Men like Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, and George Clinton once stood upon the steps of the famed courthouse and helped ratify the U.S. Constitution. While you won’t see our founding fathers hanging out on Main Mall Row sharing pints of hard cider, today you will find an IBM campus, plenty of shopping, and a keen interest in the sport of rowing.
