Richmond Courthouses
Last updated: December 13, 2013
Whether you like fine art, Civil War history, or attend NASCAR events at the Richmond International Speedway (or all of the above!), Richmond is a city unlike any other. Steeped in rich history, this city was founded in 1737, is the capital of the Commonwealth of Virginia and was the place of Patrick Henry’s “Give me liberty or give me death” speech during the Revolutionary War.
If you’re a resident, you know there are several of courthouses in the area. If you have a criminal, civil, probate or family law matter, it’s probably in one of the circuit courts. FindLaw has compiled a list of both state and federal courts, plus some helpful information on what types of cases each court handles.
