Free Legal Aid in Appleton

Last updated: December 13, 2013

Appleton's quality of life for its residents is something we are proud of. With excellent schools and libraries, natural beauty, and low crime, what's not to love?

In the event, however, that any of us runs into legal trouble, it can be hard finding help that doesn’t deliver a heavy blow to the pocketbook. Thankfully, FindLaw has the following directory of free or low cost legal services for local residents. These services can help you resolve your issues even if you don’t have the money for a high-priced lawyer. Take a look at the list below and see if any of the organizations or services might be able to help with the issue you’ve encountered.

Self Help and Other Resources

Our Wisconsin Court System also does its part to make sure that each citizen has at least some resources to navigate the legal system without a lawyer. The court has an online self-help law center. Visitors may select specific issues relevant to their individual cases. In addition, the Wisconsin Supreme Court publishes and updates a directory of self-help legal resources, organized by county.

If you’ve checked with Appleton-area legal aid providers, and you cannot find the services that you need, consider looking elsewhere in Wisconsin. See FindLaw’s legal aid pages for Madison and Milwaukee.
