Bridget Molitor is Executive Editor of FindLaw.com, where she leads the strategy, development, and editorial vision for the site’s legal content. For more than 15 years, she has overseen the publication of thousands of legal articles, blogs, videos, and other resources designed to help people understand their rights and navigate legal issues with confidence.
Bridget’s work focuses on translating complex legal concepts into clear, practical information for everyday readers, while maintaining high editorial and ethical standards. Her collaborative leadership style emphasizes inclusivity, trust, and ownership across onsite and remote editorial teams.
Bridget is a Minnesota attorney (voluntary inactive). She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law where she served as editor-in-chief of the University of St. Thomas Law Journal. She earned her B.A. in English and French from St. Olaf College. She has worked with the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office Child Support Division and volunteered with numerous nonprofit organizations, experiences that deepened her commitment to accessible legal information and public service.
My dad was one of the hearts of St. Paul, where he helped thousands of people through his nonprofit leadership. My mom inspired decades of young children to love reading through her service in public school libraries. The values they instilled in me, combined with my love of writing and passion for legal justice, led me to FindLaw. Here, I am able to help millions of people better understand the law and find solutions to both everyday legal issues and life-altering legal challenges.
Bridget’s scholarly work includes serving as editor-in-chief for three University of St. Thomas Law Journal issues: “Human Trafficking: Global and National Responses to the Cries for Freedom” (Vol. 6, Iss. 1, 2008), “Train Wrecks in Legal Education” (Vol. 6, Iss. 2, 2009), and “Are We Ready Yet?: The Legal and Ethical Issues of Preparing for and Responding to a Bioterrorist Attack” (Vol. 6, Iss. 3, 2009).
Outside of work, Bridget enjoys playing badminton and strategic board games with her family, puzzling, road-tripping around the country, and reading contemporary and classic fiction.
