By AXS-One Inc.

Rutherford, NJ – April 30, 2007 – AXS-One Inc. [AMEX: AXO], a leading provider of high-performance records compliance management solutions (RCM), today announced the release of AXS-Link for Sun JMS, a policy-driven archiving and management solution for Sun Java Messaging Server. As a native Sun Java Messaging Server application and the only archiving solution to integrate with the Sun Java Communications Suite, the technology offers enhanced functionality for message management (including archival, retrieval, retention and disposition) as well as compliance and legal discovery.

AXS-Link for Sun JMS is a fully integrated component of the AXS-One’s flagship product, the AXS-One Compliance Platform™, a single, scalable archiving and electronic records management software platform for policy-based management of disparate electronic records. Developed in conjunction with Sun, AXS-Link for Sun JMS delivers the industry’s first and only comprehensive solution to address the efficient archival and retrieval of Sun Java Messaging Server messages. Full integration with Sun Java Messaging Server allows the size of the Sun Java Messaging Server data stores to be reduced and gives users the ability to manage the broad risks associated with the retention, disposition and management of e-mail, instant messages and other electronic records. This includes feature sets optimized to address compliance and legal discovery, including legal holds.

“We are excited to be working with Sun Microsystems to deliver this type of archiving solution directly in its product line, and we’re privileged to offer our technology and services to make this high-level of integration possible,” said Bill Lyons, CEO of AXS-One. “As electronic records management becomes a top-level priority for reasons ranging from corporate governance to legal discovery, we believe this comprehensive solution meets an increasingly critical global market need.”

AXS-Link for Sun JMS enables organizations to:

  • Significantly reduce storage and infrastructure costs
  • Enhance the speed and performance of regular e-mail backup
  • Enforce corporate policies for regulatory compliance and corporate governance
  • Reduce the time and cost associated with legal discovery requests

“With the exponential growth of electronic communication, such as e-mail and instant messaging, the need to integrate archiving storage services into e-mail platforms is becoming a must-have business requirement,” said Mayank Choudhary, Group Manager, Marketing for Sun. “Sun is proud to work with AXS-One in delivering on this capability within its Java Messaging Server platform. We are delighted to provide our customers with truly unique functionality that addresses their major concerns regarding compliance and legal discovery.”

Based on flexible archiving rules, organizations can manage each user’s mailbox according to corporate policies. Archived e-mails are accessed seamlessly from the native Sun Java Messaging Server interface or via a web based search portal. The process is transparent to end users and organizations can also decide to capture all or some messages before the data is delivered to a recipient’s mailbox, demonstrating an indisputable and auditable chain of custody for every message and attachment that enables organizations to enforce regulatory compliance and legal discovery policies.

AXS-Link for Sun JMS will be sold both directly by AXS-One and by Sun and Sun resellers as part of the Sun™ Compliance and Content Management Solution (C2MS). The new solution platform will be supported on Sun Java Messaging Server version 6.3, part of Sun Java Communications Suite 5, which is available now. Pricing is based on the total number of mailboxes archived.
