Los Angeles, CA (October 27, 2006) – iCONECT Development, LLC announces the addition of keyboard shortcuts and quick access to review templates in the latest release of iCONECTnxt. These new features save time by reducing keystrokes and mouse movements.
Keyboard shortcuts can be used to select review designations and automatically advance to the next document. When a review designation is selected, the document status is automatically flagged as “Reviewed.” No mouse movements are required, so reviews are faster.
The QuickTasks dialog box provides links to tools for common tasks immediately after a database is opened. Review templates have been added to the QuickTasks dialog box to help new users automatically configure their display to suit review tasks without having to know the rest of the iCONECTnxt interface. For example, display native files and review designations side-by-side for easy referencing while hiding other areas of the application. Coding templates are also available (e.g., display the editing window and native files side-by-side).
In addition, iCONECTnxt allows users to review native files even when the native program is not installed on their computer (an image of the native file is rendered on-the-fly in iCONECTnxt’s image viewer). iCONECTnxt’s secure web-based access also supports the review process by enabling counsel and staff located in multiple locations to review the same documents.
“At iCONECT, we are constantly looking to develop more efficient methods for reviewing documents,” said Ian Campbell, Chief Operating Officer of iCONECT Development, LLC. “These latest features build on that commitment by further streamlining the existing work environment of iCONECTnxt.”
iCONECTnxt enables attorneys to review and manage electronic and document discovery from anywhere in the world for effective collaboration with outside counsel, branch offices, and consultants. iCONECTnxt features a full suite of review tools including extensive search capabilities, bulk review options, and customizable foldering. iCONECTnxt software can be hosted in-house or through an authorized ASP (Application Service Provider).
