New York, N.Y., January 31, 2008-Peak Off-Site, a leading-edge provider of document review and litigation services, has introduced a powerful new tool for measuring accuracy, productivity and expenses in the document review process – Peak Performance Metrics. This proprietary software program, which delivers essential document review data, will be demonstrated at Peak Off-Site’s booth-#3614-at LegalTech New York 2008, Feb. 5-7.
From its secure, fully equipped midtown Manhattan facility, Peak Off-Site (www.peakoff-site.com)- along with its affiliate, Peak Counsel-provides a document review and litigation support annex for law firms and corporate legal departments. By uniquely combining scalable space, decades of staffing experience, proven project management and proprietary technology, Peak Off-Site enables its clients to receive highest-quality deliverables, while gaining control of their litigation expenses.
“Because we emphasize the cost-effectiveness of our services,” says Peak Off-Site Managing Director Michael Dalewitz, “we will provide Peak Performance Metrics to every Peak Off-Site client at no charge. It extracts data from the document review system and combines it with information from Peak’s interactive time-billing system to generate metrics for individual reviewers and the review team as a whole.
“As a result, attorney performance, project management, quality control and project duration can be improved, which lead directly to substantial cost savings for the client,” he continues. “And, because Peak Performance Metrics is platform agnostic, it works in conjunction with any document review database.”
Due to the proliferation of electronically stored information (ESI), the complexities associated with performing first-level document reviews have increased, and with them, the corresponding costs, Mr. Dalewitz adds. First-level document reviews account for between 60% and 90% of total litigation costs, driving the demand for legal process outsourcing that achieves both economies and efficiencies.
The introduction of Peak Performance Metrics offers a strong value proposition for cost-conscious clients, enabling them to: finish projects ahead of schedule because problem areas are targeted early on and performance is increased; access a consolidated history of individual reviewer skills for use on future projects; and realize substantial cost savings through analysis and decision-making based on real data.
