Chris Cardinal weighs in on benefits of Windows Azure technology
Toronto, ON (November 2, 2010) – Gavel & Gown Software Inc., a leading developer of practice management software for lawyers, announced today the participation of Chief Technology Officer Chris Cardinal as a panelist at the Microsoft 2010 Professional Developers Conference.
“The Professional Developers Conference this year made it very obvious that Microsoft is deeply committed to cloud technology as the next big computing frontier, as evidenced by the new features in Windows Azure, their new cloud services operating system,” said Chris Cardinal, Chief Technology Officer of Gavel & Gown Software Inc. “And we are thrilled to be one of the first companies offering a commercially available product in Canada built on the Azure platform.”
Gavel & Gown began working with Azure in early 2010, when the platform first went live. Azure is leveraged by Credenza as the mechanism to store data and synchronize clients across the web. Working in the cloud allows Credenza to offer a solution at a low monthly cost in addition to removing any IT proficiency requirement for consumers.
“Azure’s ability to infinitely scale Credenza to large numbers of users made it an obvious choice,” commented Cardinal. “Windows Azure provided us with the necessary tools to take Credenza’s practice management solution for Microsoft Outlook to the next level.”
