Trigger Happy? Jon Cryer Blames Ex for Death Threats
Just when you thought that Charlie Sheen was the only one in Two and A Half Men that pops up in the news, his co-star steals some of the limelight. According to CBS News, Jon Cryer is claiming that he has been on the receiving end of some death threats. The death threats were phoned to the set of his television show and left him fearing for his life. The worst part? Jon Cryer thinks that the person behind the death threats is his ex-wife Sarah Trigger.
He claims that Ms. Trigger hired a hit man to kill him. CBS News reports that the Jon Cryer and Sarah Trigger had a very difficult divorce and are involved in a messy custody battle. Mr. Cryer has taken these death threats very seriously and even had the FBI investigate.
Ms. Vicki Greene, a lawyer for Ms. Trigger, has denied her client's involvement with the death threats. She told CBS News: "There's no reason in the world why Sarah would do anything like that." According to the New York Daily News, the set of Mr. Cryer's show Two and a Half Men had more security than usual. The show was also taped without an audience in order to ensure that Mr. Cryer was safe.
In the meantime, Ms. Trigger's attorney demanded that Mr. Cryer clear her client's name. She told RadarOnline: "I think Jon should be ashamed of himself and he should make a public statement clearing Sarah's name because this is ridiculous." RadarOnline claims that Ms. Trigger was interviewed by the FBI.
