The independent agency administering the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 launched a website-- www.Recovery.gov-- earlier this year. And just this week, it was announced that the website has been updated and redesigned to make it easier to use and easier to track the destination of government stimulus funding.
To make good on the Act's goal of transparency and accountability, the original website included tools for users to see how the stimulus dollars were being spent. And this week, the site debuted improvements such as a ramped-up interactive map showing distributions made by state, an increased amount of data available, addition of tutorials and glossary, and additional graphs and charts as a visual depiction of spending.
