New and Improved: A Better Way to Earn an Ethics CLE
Things just ain't what they used to be when it comes to earning those CLE credits. Remember the days of having to sit in some over-air conditioned conference room with a bunch of other lawyers as mad as you at giving up billable time to earn credits? Well, if those days aren't exactly gone, the times they are a-changin'. Below are a few less painful ways to get part of your required ethics CLE under your belt.
First, a few webinars soon will be broadcast. You can remain at your own desk, with your own chair, adjusted just the way you like it, and take in three important webcasts on topical ethics issues.
First, on Friday July 16, 2010, 12:00pm-1:00pm (Central Time) attend the Ethical Traps With Electronic Communications webcast. Speaker Sean P. Healy of Healy, Milne & Associates, will talk about the essential ethical issues regarding obligations and liabilities associated with email, blogs, firm or corporate websites and text messages.
On Friday, July 30, 2010, 12:00pm-1:00pm (Central Time) speaker D. Mark Jackson of Bassi, Edlin, Huie & Blum, will address Ethical Traps on the E-Discovery Course. Learn about e-discovery and how to avoid breaching your ethical responsibilities by understanding information systems and consulting with technical consultants when appropriate.
