Block on Trump's Asylum Ban Upheld by Supreme Court
Making money on the side might not be really high on the list of priorities for lawyers, but doing so can often be a nice way to supplement your income.
However, working as a lawyer on the side might not be something you want to do, as you may prefer to have your side hustle be a little more passive. So if you’re looking for some lazy side hustles that you can do with minimal time investment, check out the below list.
Does you office have a conference room that other lawyers would want to use and that you could rent out by the hour? If so, you may want to consider setting up a website that allows professionals to rent out the space for a few hours at a time for a competitive price.
If you drive to work and have dedicated parking, you could consider using a service that allows you to rent out your car by the hour, for the time you are working and don’t need it.
If renting out your stuff doesn’t appeal to you, then consider selling some plasma. Sure, it’s not going to match your hourly rate, but you literally don’t have to do anything but sit there for a bit, then eat a cookie.
And while we’re talking about literally selling yourself, you might want to consider offering up some of your best pleadings for sale. Offering to ghostwrite pleadings for pro se plaintiffs and other attorneys is a great way to put your personal form library to work for you. You’ve already done the work once, so why not profit from it as much as possible?
If your form library isn’t yours to sell, and none of the above works for you, you might want to consider setting up a vending machine business. If your office doesn’t have one, you can sneak it into the breakroom and make a killing.
Lastly, if you need a side hustle to get you out of the office for a little bit at a time, you might want to consider signing up to be a dog walker. After all, taking walks is good for you, so why not get paid to do it and have a furry four-legged companion at the same time? Or if you’re just a dog lover, in general, and your office is dog friendly, you might even consider doing a doggy day care at your office.
