Service members and civilians alike face many of the same legal issues, such as divorce and discrimination. Legal issues pertaining to employment or family matters can have different implications for military service members and their families. Being in the military doesn’t make you immune to child support orders, for example. But there are certain laws and legal rights extended to military members. As with all things, the more you know about an issue, the better prepared you are to deal with it when it arises.
