Free Legal Aid in San Diego

Last updated: September 26, 2013

San Diego has a reputation for its laid-back, beach bum culture. To outsiders, it may look to many as if many San Diegans haven't a care in the world, but legal problems can make life difficult and legal help is often expensive. If you have a legal problem and can't afford an attorney, there are several organizations in San Diego that offer free or low-cost legal services to people who need them. Some organizations, like the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, offer help in a variety of areas, while other organizations focus on only one or two areas of law. Check out the list of organizations below to see if one of them can help you.
