Welcome to FindLaw's section on Delaware's gambling and state lottery laws. Delaware is quite unique with respect to gambling, being the first state to allow residents access to online casino-style games. Delaware residents can play games such as slots, blackjack, and roulette from the comfort of their own homes, allowing those outside the state to play the games but not for cash prizes. Delaware also allows betting on horse races and other games of chance. The state's official lottery, meanwhile, supports the state's general fund (education, infrastructure, etc.).
