Summary
Abortion is legal in New Mexico.
Introduction
In June 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, which returned the power to the states to restrict, or even prohibit, abortion. In 2021, New Mexico repealed an abortion ban that pre-dated Roe. Abortion is legal in New Mexico through all stages of pregnancy.
