Tulsa Courthouses

Last updated: September 27, 2013

Oklahoma's second largest city is an exciting place, and not just because of the weather.  Home to nearly 400,000 residents, T-town serves as corporate headquarters for Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group and QuikTrip, and houses renowned institutions such as Oral Roberts University, the Philbrook Museum, and the Tulsa Garden Center. Legal issues inevitably crop up in its 186 square miles and Tulsa has the courts to accommodate them. Below is a reference guide to the main courthouses in Tulsa.

Tulsa Courthouses

  • City of Tulsa Municipal Court

    600 Civic Center
    Tulsa,
    OK 74103

    Tel: (918) 596-2100

This criminal court has jurisdiction over the City of Tulsa and is "responsible for misdemeanor traffic, parking and criminal offenses, as well as code violations for health, fire, animal and zoning violations." Non-jury trials are held Monday through Thursday at 2pm. If you are called for jury duty here, expect to serve for the length of one trial, which is usually one day. The Municipal Court also has an Early Settlement Division which allows individuals to mediate their civil disputes.

  • Tulsa County District Court

    500 S. Denver Avenue
    Tulsa,
    OK 74103

This court houses several divisions including civil, criminal, probate, family and small claims. The juvenile division, though part of this court, is housed with the Juvenile Bureau (see below). If you are looking to have a simple courthouse marriage ceremony performed by a judge, this is the place. If you need to do any legal research, this court maintains a law library with 5 computer workstations available to the public.

  • Tulsa County District Court, Juvenile Division

    315 South Gilcrease Museum Road
    Tulsa,
    OK 74127

    Tel: (918) 596-5971

This division is part of the Tulsa County District Court, but is housed separately. The juvenile division handles issues involving individuals under 18 in the areas of abuse/neglect, delinquency, involuntary commitment, and more.

  • Oklahoma Workers' Compensation Court

    440 South Houston, 2nd Floor
    Tulsa,
    OK 74127

    Tel: (405) 522-8600

This court has two locations - one in Oklahoma City and one in Tulsa, and deals exclusively with workers' compensation claims. If you have questions regarding workers' compensation rights and responsibilities, you may call a court counselor at 800-522-8210.

Federal Courts

  • United States District Court Northern District of Oklahoma

    333 W. 4th Street, #411

This Court handles federal law matters only and encompasses Craig, Creek, Delaware, Mayes, Nowata, Osage, Ottawa, Pawnee, Rogers, Tulsa, and Washington counties. Any appeals from this Court are presented to the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit in Denver, CO.
