Dell today announced two aggressively priced, high-brightness projectors – the 2400MP and 1200MP – designed for the conference room, classroom or home theater.
Priced at $1,099, the Dell 2400MP is an XGA (1024×768) resolution projector and the only product in its class priced less than $1,1001. It features a 3,000 ANSI lumens (max)2 brightness rating and a 2,100:1 contrast ratio that enables distinct black colors. The 2400MP features Texas Instrument’s new color-processing technology, BrilliantColorTM , which generates sharp text and accurate color reproduction even in well-lit rooms. The projector also combines DarkChip3TM DLP Technology, BrilliantColorTM and high brightness to produce crisp images from a compact device weighing only 5.5 pounds.
Ideal for presentations in small to mid-sized rooms, the Dell 1200MP is a bright, fully featured SVGA (800×600) resolution projector with another breakthrough price: $699. With 2,000 ANSI lumens (max)3, the 1200MP is up to 42 percent brighter than its predecessor. The 1200MP weighs less than five pounds and has a high contrast ratio of 2,100:1.
“The Dell 2400MP and 1200MP are two of the brightest, most aggressively priced projectors available today,” said Gerry Smith, vice president, Dell Product Group. “Dell is a standout in the projector market, and with these new products we can deliver the best features and connectivity options at up to 40 percent less than comparable models.”
“For example,” Smith added, “the 2400MP offers the best lumens per dollar in the industry.”
The 2400MP and 1200MP deliver great value that goes beyond just price with included features such as a drop-tested carrying case, full featured remote control and extensive connectivity including PC support, S-video, composite video, component (HDTV) video and RS-232 connectors. The projectors also include a full set of cables (VGA, S-video, composite video, USB, VGA to component, RCA audio and mini pin to mini pin) to make set-up simple.
Both projectors feature vertical keystone technology that helps ensure symmetrical images are displayed and manual zoom functions that allow the flexibility to place either projector almost anywhere in a room and still clearly view content. Users also have the option to mount the projectors to a ceiling, project from behind a screen or use it with a notebook or desktop system.
The Dell 2400MP and 1200MP are available immediately worldwide. Both feature a one-year Limited Warranty4 and Dell’s Advanced Exchange Service5.
