Deion Sanders' Announces Divorce on Facebook: Owes Wife $10M Home

Former Dallas Cowboys star Deion Sanders' divorce was announced in a very public way: on his Facebook page. Sanders wrote to his fans and followers that he's ending his marriage to his wife Pilar Sanders.
He also wrote that neither he nor his wife would further discuss the divorce.
But there is the matter of his wife being entitled to a $10 million home.
Deion Sanders and his wife haven't provided details as to why they decided to call it quits. The split may even be friendly. Deion and Pilar Sanders signed a prenup, meaning there probably won't be any messy property battles.
The former NFL star is required under the terms of their prenup to provide Pilar Sanders with a home equal to half of his $21 million mansion in Proper, Texas. This means that Pilar Sanders is entitled to a $10 million home.
Deion Sanders may be getting off easily. Texas is a community property state, meaning that all wages earned by any spouse during marriage are split equally upon divorce.
That's why fellow sports superstar Kobe Bryant may be paying his ex a rather large sum. Bryant lives in California, also a community property state.
Deion Sanders' divorce follows a 12-year marriage to Pilar Sanders. The couple has three children together. Pilar Sanders is also known as one of the stars of VH1's Football Wives. The couple also previously starred on their own reality show, Deion & Pilar: PrimeTime Love.
