Man Drives Drunk While Watching Porn
Driving drunk is a crime. Driving drunk while watching porn? Greedily committing a crime?
In an episode of "Seinfeld," George Costanza once attempted what he called the trifecta: secretly watching portable television and eating a sandwich while simultaneously enjoying an intimate encounter with his then girlfriend. Naturally things didn't work out for George and the relationship imploded, which led to the following conversation at Monk's Cafe:
Jerry: So, the free love buffet is over?
George: I got greedy. Flew too close to the sun on wings of pastrami.
Jerry: Yeah, that's what you did...
Compared to "Seinfeld," the actions of Indiana man Gregory Green might seem rather tame. Except for the fact that Green's behavior was far more dangerous. Green stands accused of driving drunk while simultaneously watching porn, now known as a "porn dui."
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer Mike Leeper, Green was "drifting left of center" around 12:20 a.m. After Leeper pulled the car over, Green accidentally put it the car in reverse, requiring Leeper to instruct Green to park the car. As Leeper approached, he noticed that a pornographic movie was still playing on a portable unit inside the car, The Indianapolis Journal & Courier reports.
Green allegedly tested positive for alcohol, and plenty of it. His breath test showed 0.17 percent blood alcohol content. Green was therefore charged with DUI over 0.15 percent, which is an enhanced version of DUI in Indiana.
It is a crime to operate a vehicle while impaired by of alcohol or drugs. Some states call it DUI. others DWI, OUI, or OMVI. No states have laws called PDUI (porn DUI). Whatever the specific title, it is illegal to operate a car, truck, motorcycle, or commercial vehicle when you are impaired.
However while it is inadvisable to attempt, the George Constanza trifecta is still legal in all 50 states.
