Attorney Arrested: Challenged Girlfriend to Naked Sword Duel

By Cynthia Hsu, Esq. | Last updated on

Naked attorney Terry Lee Locy challenged his girlfriend to a sword duel.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Locy, a Floridian and graduate of the University of Miami's law school, challenged his girlfriend to the duel after a particularly heated argument.

Locy's now presumably ex-girlfriend was arguing with him about his drinking habits. The argument escalated when Locy threatened to hurt her with a mirror. The woman then chucked a hook off the wall and threw it at his head.

Then, there was a brief pause. Locy took a shower, and came out of it stark naked, according to the girlfriend's account.

Afterwards, there was a moment that can only be described as a cross between a Western and sword-fighting movie Kill Bill.

Locy, still nude and fresh from the shower, handed a sword over to the woman, and said, "You're going to need this," reports UPI.

He then unsheathed an even larger sword and declared his intent to kill.

Luckily, the woman was able to flee. She did, however, get punched several times in the process.

As an attorney, Locy should know better. Though it can be argued that most people would know better than to threaten someone with a sword fight to the death.

The entire scenario seems to reek of a law school hypothetical about assault and battery gone awry.

Locy was apprehended later at a hospital and was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence battery, according to NBC Miami.

As an attorney, maybe Terry Lee Locy will opt to represent himself pro per. Though, he'd likely have to keep his swords at home. And, his clothes on.
