Top 3 Cool Legal Jobs This Week: Bombs, Bison, and Biotech

By Casey C. Sullivan, Esq. | Last updated on

Feeling a bit restless? Wondering if the grass is greener on the other side, job-wise? It might be! It doesn't hurt to look, at least. And we at FindLaw want to help you out. As part of our affiliate partnership with Indeed, we're bringing you the three coolest legal jobs we can find.

So when you're done wooing your Valentine this weekend, why not snuggle up to your laptop and update that resume? There are plenty of good legal jobs out there, whether you're into bombs, bison, or biotechnology.

1. Bomb Law: Counsel, Global Trade Compliance with Raytheon

Have you always been attracted to explosions? Want to get in to the global arms trade? Here's your chance. Raytheon, the defense contracting company and world's premier producer of guided missiles, is looking for a global trade compliance attorney for their corporate offices outside of Washington, D.C.

They're looking for someone with six years of experience in export and import compliance and a "deep knowledge" of relevant law and regulatory agencies. If that sounds like you, head over and throw your hat into the ring.

2. Practice Next to Bison: Attorney, Montana Department of Natural Resources

If guided missiles and the D.C. suburbs aren't your thing, how about a stint in beautiful Helena, Montana, just a stone's throw (and three hour drive) from Yellowstone National Park? Montana is hiring an attorney for its Department of Natural Resources & Conservation.

If you land the gig, you'll be working on quite title actions, easements, mineral law, and oil and gas law, out in Big Sky Country. Bring a cowboy hat to your interview.

3. In-House in Biotech: Corporate Counsel for Biotronik

The German biomedical technology company Biotronik is looking for corporate counsel to work out of its Portland, Oregon, adjacent American HQ. Biotronik -- technically, they're BIOTRONIK, but we've toned down the caps, as screaming Germans make us uncomfortable -- focuses on products like pacemakers, electrophysiology treatments, vascular interventions and the like.

They're looking for someone familiar with commercial sales contracts, healthcare law and compliance, negotiations, employment law, and such -- typical in-house fare. Bonus points if you've got experience in the medical sector or other highly-regulated industries.
