Toronto Couple Caught Having Sex on Subway Train, Platform

By Cynthia Hsu, Esq. | Last updated on

A Toronto couple was arrested for subway sex in an incident that brings exhibitionism to a whole new level. The couple was first caught having sex on the subway train.

They were bumped off the train car after another passenger reported them.

The couple was left at the next train station. Instead of going home, they apparently decided that they still hadn't had enough of each other.

So, naturally, they resumed having sex on the train platform.

All of this took place in the middle of the day at around 2:30 p.m.

They were arrested and charged with engaging in a lewd act. If similar events happened in the U.S., they could have faced charges of public indecency, indecent exposure, or disorderly conduct.

Public indecency laws in the U.S. typically prohibit individuals from engaging in sexual activity or vulgar behavior in public. And, indecent exposure laws usually make it illegal for people to display their private parts in public.

Copulating on a public train platform and subway would probably qualify. In fact, a passerby even managed to take cell phone footage of the event which was posted online. Unsurprisingly, it went viral.

Authorities currently aren't sure what prompted the subway love fest. Perhaps they were just really happy to see each other. Or, maybe they were saying goodbye in a very "adult" way.

Whatever the case, the couple could probably learn a few lessons from this situation. Next time, opt for a nice hotel room. Not only is there more privacy, but unlike subway sex it won't result in an arrest. Having sex on the subway might sound exciting, dangerous, and sexy. But think about it this way: it's probably also unsanitary . Thousands of people go through a single subway train each year.
