Woman Hid 47 Heroin Balloons Inside Vagina, Cops Say

By Cynthia Hsu, Esq. | Last updated on

Bank vaults, safety deposit boxes, and underneath the mattress are all viable places for a prudent person to store their valuables. Tiffany Giummo, 20, decided to keep her valuables a bit closer to home - inside her vagina.

Giummo, 20, was caught hiding 47 balloons of heroin inside her lady parts by police in Ohio last week.

No, Giummo was not trying to birth a baby made entirely out of heroin. As it turns out, there have been many instances where women have hidden their cache inside themselves.

Police found Giummo after they were tipped off that she would be traveling to Columbus to purchase heroin, reports The Columbus Dispatch. After she was stopped, she admitted she was hiding drugs and said she would retrieve it.

The 47 balloons she produced contained a grand total of about 4.23 grams of heroin, worth about $850, reports The Columbus Dispatch. Heroin balloons are small, and typically drug dealers will package their products so that they are around the size of the top of a pinky finger. Apparently, this is a convenient size for stashing your loot in and around yourself.

Giummo is being charged with felony drug possession, reports The Columbus Dispatch.

For those itching to try this at home, please do not. "Transporting heroin inside the body raises the risk of the drug entering the system in unknown quantities, which could result in overdose or death," said Delaware County Sheriff Walter L. Davis III in a press release, as reported by The Columbus Dispatch.

Drug possession charges can vary widely, depending on the state. They can also range in severity depending on the type of drug you are found in possession of, and the quantity that you are holding.

In a felony situation, Tiffany Giummo will likely be facing at least some jail time due to the amount of drugs she was hiding.
