It may seem strange but perhaps it was just an eventuality. Many Americans are addicted to their smartphones now and most people are bound to have their phones on hand when they're driving.
So what exactly are your options?
There is actually more than one application available for smartphone users. One is the Car Accident SideKick app for the iPhone, released by a personal injury law firm. The app allows you to go through an accident checklist so you know what information you need to take down. And of course, the law firm has added on a mechanism where you can search for the closest attorney.
But maybe you don't necessarily want to be tied to an application. You don't absolutely need one, as smartphones like the iPhone are more than capable to help you through an accident without any additional apps. You just need to use some functions:
So while car accident apps may prove useful to some consumers, they may not be totally necessary. For consumers without smartphones, it may be prudent to keep some basic information in a car - such as a list of information to take down - so if you ever get stranded wondering what to do after a car accident you'll have something to reference.
