Apple Small Business Support: Joint Venture

By Jason Beahm on March 01, 2011 | Last updated on March 21, 2019

Apple has surprised consumers a number of times. In most recent memory, the iPod, the iPhone and the iPad. However it seems that Apple is set to surprise its customers yet again, as according to AppleInsider, the electronics maker is about to launch a business support plan called Joint Venture.

According to the report, Apple small business will launch the Joint Venture priority service plan, at the price of $499, which will cover up to five clients, and allow for additional machines to be added for $99 per year.

Joint Venture emphasizes enterprise set up, configuration, and support, PC Mag reports. The small business program offers the tagline: "Get Setup. Get Trained. Keep Running." Joint Venture customers will get features like three group training sessions, personal setup data transfer, and a scheduling website for phone support. The plan also offers features like priority service at Genius Bars, corporate tech support and loaner computers in the case of repairs over 24 hours.

Apple small business is set to launch Joint Venture on March 2 in the U.S. and March 3 in the U.K., according to sources. They are also launching the second-generation iPad, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

So what does this mean for your business? It means that if you have been considering switching to Mac, you now have an inexpensive option for training and support for your small business. Macs tend to be far easier to set up and use than PCs anyway, but for some the switch can be confusing. That's why having the option of group training sessions and phone support could benefit small business owners.
