By Deanne Katz, Esq. on June 28, 2012 | Last updated on March 21, 2019

Thursday's Supreme Court Ruling on the Affordable Care Act has people talking, tweeting, and Facebooking all over the country. The ruling's personal impact means that most people have strong opinions one way or the other about the opinion. They're airing those views on social media.

FindLaw users are no different and we've gotten a lot of response from consumers and legal professionals giving us their reactions to the health care ruling.

Check out the comments below and then join the conversation.

FindLaw Consumer's Facebook fans had a variety of reactions to the ruling:

Bob Wilhite: One more FREEDOM taken away

Cheryl Anne Forster: Some stuff in the bill is good - but I do not think that the Federal government should be telling me I have to buy health insurance or pay a "fine" at the end of the year...I truly wonder how many people can really afford to do this...they don't have insurance because they can't afford it....sigh....

Steven Tanner: Wow, lots of angry men on this thread. Just remember, this is the exact same piece of legislation that was originally proposed by the GOP in the 90s. Oh, and it was modeled after Mr. Romney's health care reform legislation in Massachusetts. Have a nice day.

Roy Manns: It is about time that we care for Americans with adequate health care.

Followers of FindLaw Legal Professionals were equally divided about whether or not the ruling was a good decision:

Elsie Sirleaf: Today my respect for the Supreme Court is elevated. I must admit these guys are unpredictable. May all diabetics jump on a couch celebrating. No [pre-existing] condition

John Christine: This country is about freedoms... How about freedom to choose if I can afford it...

Franco Suarez: We ALL paid for the uninsured, now we will ALL pay for health insurance and no one's taxes have gone up; unless you were the one not paying for insurance.

Terese Marie Henderson: could an American Supreme Court consider this Constitutional to ANY American???

Some folks also posted unique insights:

Debbie Vargas: Notice what [happened] to the stock market in light of this decision?
