Michigan Employment Laws

State labor and employment laws are intended to protect workers from unfair treatment or unsafe working conditions, balanced against the need of states to attract employers. The federal government provides a base level of employee protection but states have their own laws that either strengthen these protections or address other, state-specific needs.
