Walk-in consultations occur each Thursday, and clients must pay a $25 consultation fee.

The Legal Advocate cannot actually represent the client or give formal legal advice, but the services do help clients “find justice.”

A mediator will listen to each side of the conflict and help think of a possible solution. As part of its public service, the State Bar offers referrals to private attorneys who agree to provide a 30-minute consultation for $25 or less. After the first consultation, you and the attorney can work out what an appropriate fee arrangement would be in your case.
